Alexandrine Roy is the fourth generation atDomaine Marc Roy, working alongside her father,Marc, who is still active in the vineyards. This tinyestate covers just four hectares and is meticulouslycared for, resembling a personal garden.As a dedicated farmer, Alexandrine consistentlyplows the soils of her old-vine vineyards, manyof which are over 100 years old, allowing theroots to dig deep into the shallow limestone. Shemade her winemaking debut with the 2003vintage and has since refined her wines intosome of the most vibrant and delicate Gevrey-Chambertin village wines available today. Herwork proves that even serious collectors canfind great pleasure in village-level wines.Alexandrine produces four Gevrey village redsand a Marsannay blanc.
